These color maps highlight activities, facilities, and native habitats throughout the district's 68,000 acres. A series of regional maps will also be issued. Supported by a grant from the U.S. Forest Service, and part of a new " Live Healthy, Discover Nature" campaign, the maps are available at district headquarters in River Forest or at the district's six nature centers. The district is also sponsoring a series of nature walks, paddles, and bike rides, all listed online (pdf download).
