![]() NewsActivists Consoled with Corner of Terry PrairieVolunteers conducted a plant rescue at one of the largest unprotected calcareous wet prairies in this region — a site called Terry Prairie in Bridgeview, Illinois — because most of the site, located across from the courthouse on 76th Street, will soon become a residential development. The owner, Concord Homes, has pledged to protect 8 to 10 acres in the northwest corner of the 36-acre site.
