Winter
2001

This
deceptively timeless photo was taken in the midst of major
changes. The aquatic vegetation was planted here and the
rocks installed to hold the soil and create habitat. Excavated
dirt and gravel from another section of the channel was
recently piled to rebuild the glacial kame on the horizon.
Soon it will be planted with the grasses and flowers of
dry prairie. The bulldozers have left and the animals will
return.
